I help people have fun.
Seriously.
I founded Cut Loose Collage Workshops to create a laid-back environment where participants can relax, experiment with creativity, and connect with others.
It usually looks something like this:
- I’m not an artist. A little anxious.
- This is awesome. I haven’t even looked at my phone.
- I got this! So fun!
I create a safe space in each workshop for participants to reflect on their own process and artwork—and celebrate their successes.

“I appreciate what Cut Loose offers. Art + play + community = good medicine!” —Tracy G.

Cut Loose: Dream Home
Hosted by Five College Realtors in Amherst, MA
What does home look like to you? Let’s find out—with scissors, glue, and your imagination.
In this relaxed, two-hour workshop, you’ll create a collage that brings your dream space to life. Maybe it’s a vision board for that future renovation or a mood piece to reimagine a room you already love. Or maybe it’s pure fantasy—your someday home on a cliff, in a tree, or beside the sea.
No art experience needed—just a desire to play. We’ll tear, cut, layer, and dream. You’ll go home with an original piece of art and fresh inspiration for your space (and yourself).
Registration fee is $50, which includes materials, facilitation, and light refreshments. Space is limited to 15 people. Sign up today!

Collage Vision Boards for Creative Writing
Hosted by Big Red Frame @ CitySpace in Easthampton, MA
Cut Loose and Megan Tady join forces again to give your writing a creative jolt with scissors, glue, and a little bit of magic.
In this playful, two-hour workshop, we’ll use vision boards to breathe new life into your writing project. Whether you’re trying to get to know your characters better (What makes them tick? What are they hiding?), bring a setting vividly to life, or bust through a plot that’s dragging its feet, vision boards can shake things up—in the best way.
No pressure, no perfection—just you, your imagination, and a table full of materials. We’ll collage, we’ll write, we’ll sip tea, we’ll share. You might just surprise yourself with where your story wants to go.
$60 per person. Includes all materials, facilitation, and light refreshments. Space is limited to 15 people. Sign up today!
Cancellation/Refund Policy for Cut Loose Collage Workshops
If you register for a workshop and later find that you are unable to attend, I will offer a credit for your registration amount to use toward a future Cut Loose Collage Workshop of equal value. To be eligible for this credit, please notify me at least 48 hours before the workshop by emailing msjost@gmail.com. This credit is not redeemable for cash and cannot be applied to merchandise purchases. Credits or rescheduling requests cannot be honored with less than 48 hours advance notice.
In case of a workshop cancellation or rescheduling due to inclement weather, increases in local Covid cases, changes to local Covid guidance, or other unforeseen circumstances, you will receive a credit for a future workshop.
Please note that a lot of preparation goes into each workshop, including ordering supplies and refreshments. These arrangements are based on the number of registered students. Last-minute cancellations or rescheduling requests result in financial losses, and as a small business, I cannot absorb these costs while keeping class prices affordable.
To ensure fairness and consistency for all participants, I am unable to make exceptions to this cancellation policy, regardless of the reason. This includes circumstances such as illness, travel conflicts, or work commitments. If you find yourself unable to attend a workshop due to these or any other reasons, you are welcome to transfer your spot to a friend.
Thank you for your understanding!
